India A Women Beat Sri Lanka to Reach Asia Cup Rising Stars Final

India A Women booked their spot in the final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 after registering a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka A Women in the opening semifinal on Friday at the Terdthai Cricket Ground.

Skipper Radha Yadav delivered a match-winning all-round performance, leading from the front with both ball and bat. She dismantled the Sri Lankan batting order with figures of 4 for 19 in 3.4 overs before anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 31 off just 18 deliveries.

After choosing to bat first, Sri Lanka A found themselves under constant pressure as India’s spinners tightened the screws early. Tanuja Kanwer struck in the opening exchanges to remove Hansima Karunaratne, while Sanjana Kavindi attempted to steady the innings with a 31-run knock. However, regular wickets at the other end stalled any momentum.

Radha Yadav was well supported by Prema Rawat and Tanuja Kanwer, who shared four wickets between them, while Minnu Mani dismissed Sri Lanka captain Anushka Sanjeewani. Sri Lanka A were bowled out for 118 in 19.4 overs.

In reply, India A lost an early wicket but quickly regained control through a blistering partnership between Vrinda Dinesh, who smashed 42 off 20 balls, and Anushka Sharma, who chipped in with a brisk 27. Despite a brief wobble, Radha Yadav ensured there were no further hiccups as India sealed the chase in just 13.3 overs.

India A will face either Bangladesh A or Pakistan A in the final, scheduled for February 22.
