Dubai has opened 10 new mosques so far this year, with plans to inaugurate five more during Ramadan, as the city works to meet growing demand for worship spaces.
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department said the initiative aims to improve access to mosques, strengthen religious infrastructure, and enhance community life across the emirate. The new mosques, located in key districts like Al Barsha South, Airport City, Wadi Al Safa, and Nad Al Sheba, will serve thousands of worshippers daily and act as both spiritual and social hubs.
Mohammed Jassim Al Mansoori, Director of Customer Service at the department, emphasized that the openings reflect Dubai’s leadership priorities to facilitate worship and ensure readiness for Ramadan, with advanced operational standards and smart management systems in place to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
