The Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO), the apex body representing Sri Lanka’s inbound tour operator community, will organize the ‘Sancharaka Udawa 2026’ Tourism Products Meet Mart on 15th and 16th May 2026 at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Exhibition Halls (Halls A, B and C) at BMICH, Colombo.
Marking its 13th edition, Sancharaka Udawa is one of the most anticipated events in Sri Lanka’s tourism calendar, having played a pivotal role in strengthening connections across the industry since its inception in 2011.
The primary objective of Sancharaka Udawa 2026 is to provide an inclusive platform for less-exposed entrepreneurs and small and medium-scale service providers within the tourism sector to connect with mainstream industry stakeholders. The event offers a valuable opportunity for regional tourism businesses to showcase their products and services, engage directly with inbound tour operators, and reach the general public.
The exhibition will bring together a diverse cross-section of the tourism industry, including accommodation providers, destination management companies, transport operators, adventure tourism specialists, and community-based tourism enterprises from across the island. By facilitating direct interaction and networking, the event aims to help smaller operators integrate into the wider tourism ecosystem and expand their market reach.
As the only exhibition of its kind in Sri Lanka, Sancharaka Udawa has consistently contributed to increased bookings and commercial opportunities for regional tourism service providers. The 2026 edition is expected to further enhance business prospects while fostering collaboration and innovation within the sector.
In addition to the exhibition, Sancharaka Udawa 2026 will feature entertainment activities, industry-focused workshops, and an informal evening networking gathering for exhibitors, sponsors, and SLAITO members. These elements are designed to encourage knowledge sharing, relationship building, and greater engagement with the tourism community and the public.
With Sri Lanka’s tourism industry continuing its path of recovery and growth, Sancharaka Udawa 2026 is set to play a significant role in empowering grassroots tourism entrepreneurs and strengthening the country’s inbound tourism value chain.
