Sri Lankan cricket fans will get a close-up look at one of the sport’s most coveted prizes as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy arrives in the country for a four-day tour from January 21 to 24. The nationwide showcase is expected to be formally inaugurated by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

As part of the visit, the prestigious trophy will be displayed at a number of prominent venues, offering supporters across the island a chance to see the silverware ahead of the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup. One of the highlights of the tour will be its appearance at the Sri Lanka–England One Day International at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, where match-going fans can engage with the symbol of T20 cricket’s ultimate prize.

Beyond the capital, the trophy will also be taken to several major cricketing centres, including Kandy, Dambulla and Jaffna, ensuring that fans from different regions are included in the celebrations.

The tour forms part of the build-up to the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, which Sri Lanka will co-host alongside India, marking another major milestone for the country on the global cricket stage.
