Sri Lanka Death Toll Climbs to 334, With 370 Still Missing

At least 334 people have died and 370 remain missing, according to the latest situation reports issued by the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).

The highest number of deaths has been reported in the districts of Kandy (88 deaths), Badulla (71 deaths), Nuwara Eliya (68 deaths) and Matale (23 deaths).

Kandy also recorded the highest number of missing persons, with 150 unaccounted for.

A total of 1,118,929 individuals of 309,607 families have been affected islandwide, the DMC said.
