A/L Examinations to Begin on December 1

The G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 1, Examinations Commissioner General Indika Kumari Liyanage announced.

She stated that the previously planned exam dates — November 27, 28, and 29 — were postponed due to adverse weather conditions. These exams will now be conducted on December 7, 8, and 9.

The Commissioner General further noted that all required arrangements are now in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination. She added that measures have been taken to minimize disruptions by working closely with the Disaster Management Centre, Tri-Forces, Police, and relevant district-level education authorities including Provincial Directors of Education and District Secretaries.

With nationwide coordination underway, the Department assures that students can face the examination with confidence despite the recent weather disturbances.
