A restaurant in Chatham is earning national attention after being ranked among Canada’s Top 100 dining destinations.
Centro Wood Fired Kitchen secured a spot on OpenTable’s prestigious annual list, which evaluates restaurants based on customer reviews, star ratings, and reservation activity.
Co-owner Dominique Bonnot expressed gratitude over the recognition, saying it came as both surprising and deeply honouring. He added that the achievement reflects the contribution of family-run establishments to Canada’s food culture, particularly in smaller communities like Chatham.
The Chatham-based restaurant stands out not only for making the Top 100 but also for being one of only four restaurants from Southwestern Ontario included on the list. The others are Take Five Bistro in Windsor, Papi’s in London and Cintro on Wellington in London.
Centro Wood Fired Kitchen further distinguished itself by receiving a full five-star rating based on nearly 100 recent customer reviews. Only one other restaurant, The Springfield in Whitby, achieved the same score.
