Dubai Airports is set to introduce an AI-driven turnaround management system across Dubai International Airport (DXB) through a partnership with aviation technology company Assaia. The system will be deployed across all aircraft stands at the world’s busiest international airport, enhancing operational efficiency and real-time decision-making.
The new technology will use artificial intelligence and live data feeds to monitor ground movements, streamline coordination, and ensure faster aircraft turnaround. The initiative aims to improve accuracy, reduce delays, and uplift overall performance in collaboration with key aviation partners including Emirates, flydubai, and dnata.
Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Airports, stated that modernizing operations with advanced technology is essential for shaping the future of airport services.
“Insights gained at DXB today will help us reimagine what’s possible at the airport of tomorrow,” he said.
The system will further enhance communication among service partners, resulting in smoother aircraft handling, reliable scheduling, and improved passenger experience.
Assaia’s AI solutions are already being used globally at major hubs such as Toronto, New York JFKIAT, Rome, and Seattle.
Jan Willem Kappes, Chief Commercial Officer at Assaia, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, calling it a major step toward a more efficient and connected future in aviation.
