Grow Your UK Fashion & Textile Business offers expert insight, real examples and practical guidance from the UKFT team. The podcast series is now available on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has launched Grow Your UK Fashion & Textile Business, a new podcast series outlining how the organisation gives fashion and textile professionals the tools, insights and inspiration to build strong and more resilient businesses. This audio and video podcast series is now available on YouTube Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Hosted by Tara Hounslea, UKFT’s Director of Communications and former Drapers journalist, the podcast takes listeners behind the scenes of the UK’s largest network for fashion and textiles, exploring its work to ensure a sustainable, skilled and globally competitive sector. Each episode features experts from the UKFT team sharing first-hand knowledge on topics shaping the sector, spanning sustainability, international trade, compliance and skills, and how collective action is driving innovation and long-term resilience across the supply chain.
The series looks at the work that often happens out of view, from advocacy and government relations to compliance, international trade, skills and training, and day-to-day business support.
Through candid discussions, the podcast explains how coordinated representation at national and international level ensures the voice of fashion and textiles is heard where it matters most, influencing policy, shaping standards and promoting responsible growth.
“This podcast opens the door to the work UKFT does behind the scenes to support our members and the wider industry. It gives listeners direct access to our team’s expertise and highlights the opportunities available to businesses that want to grow and thrive.”
In the debut episode ‘Inside UKFT: The Voice Behind UK Fashion & Textiles’, UKFT CEO Adam Mansell explains how UKFT represents the industry to government, policymakers and international partners.
“We discuss why having a united voice matters, how our members influence policy and what we have achieved recently in areas such as access to funding, trade support and skills development,” said Adam Mansell.
With new episodes released twice a month, the series gives listeners an opportunity to tap into the UK’s largest fashion and textile network. Whether exploring export markets, building sustainable supply chains or navigating new regulations, each episode offers key insight and real stories from across the industry.
