President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that Sri Lanka has secured US$ 823 million in Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) by September this year.
Presenting the 2026 Budget in Parliament today (07), the President highlighted the government’s commitment to fostering a more investor-friendly environment. He noted that policy consistency, infrastructure development, and streamlined approval procedures are key to attracting and sustaining future investments.
The achievement, he said, reflects growing confidence among global investors in Sri Lanka’s economic direction and reform efforts.
