Dubai Fountain Reopens: Show Timings, Location & Best Ways to Experience It

The Dubai Fountain, one of the city’s most iconic attractions, is officially back after a five-month refurbishment. Starting Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the world’s largest choreographed fountain system will once again dazzle crowds with its signature water, music, and light performances in front of the Burj Khalifa.

First unveiled in 2009, the fountain shoots water up to 150 metres high, perfectly timed with a mix of Arabic and international music. It’s completely free to watch and remains a must-see experience for both visitors and residents.

Dubai Fountain Show Timings

First reopening show: Wednesday, October 1 at 6:30 PM.

Daily afternoon shows: 1:00 PM & 1:30 PM (Fridays at 2:00 PM & 2:30 PM).

Evening shows: From 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM every 30 minutes.

Location

The fountain is located at Downtown Dubai, right outside the Dubai Mall and beneath the Burj Khalifa. Visitors can arrive via the Dubai Metro red line (Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station) or park at Dubai Mall car parks (note: now Salik-operated with possible charges).

Things to Do Around the Dubai Fountain

Burj Khalifa: Head inside the world’s tallest building for breathtaking city views from At The Top or dine at At.mosphere.

Dubai Mall: Shop, dine, skate, or explore attractions like Chinatown.

Time Out Market: Sample food from Dubai’s best vendors while enjoying direct fountain views from the terrace.

Special Experiences

Dubai Fountain Boardwalk: Walk just 9 metres away from the fountains on a floating platform (tickets: AED 20).

Dubai Fountain Lake Ride: Take a boat ride on the lake for a front-row view of the show — a truly unforgettable experience.

With its return, the Dubai Fountain is once again set to be the city’s ultimate evening spectacle.
