The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) is experiencing a system outage affecting primary inspection kiosks (PIK) at several Canadian airports, including Toronto Pearson.
In a statement issued Sunday evening, the CBSA confirmed that travellers are being redirected to primary inspection lines for manual processing.
“We are maintaining our safety and security standards throughout this process,” a CBSA spokesperson said. “Officers are ensuring all required verifications are carried out in a thorough and timely manner.”
The disruption, which began earlier in the afternoon, has resulted in longer wait times for some passengers. Travellers at Pearson Airport have taken to social media to share images and videos of the delays.
