Kerala’s 16-Year-Old AI Prodigy Hires Father at His Startup

At just 16, Raul John Aju has already made a mark as Kerala’s youngest AI prodigy. Founder of the AI startup Arm Technologies, Raul has recently made headlines not only for his innovations but also for employing his father at the company, symbolizing his belief that leadership and innovation begin at home.

Raul began learning artificial intelligence at the age of six and has since built his own robot, Me-bot. He also runs free AI-knowledge content on YouTube and Instagram, aiming to help people solve real-world problems. His startup has developed over 10 AI tools, with a focus on practical applications that enhance efficiency and productivity.

Speaking at the India Today South Conclave 2025, Raul urged India to lead its own tech race rather than follow the global trend. He emphasized investment in research, development, and education, advocating for skills and creativity over mere academic marks.

Among his projects is Project JustEase, developed in collaboration with the Kerala and Dubai governments. The initiative provides AI-powered tools to help citizens make informed decisions during emergencies, reflecting Raul’s vision of technology serving human needs.

For Raul, employing his father is more than a symbolic gesture—it reflects his commitment to inclusive innovation and nurturing talent close to home. “If I can grow, anyone can grow,” he said, inspiring young innovators across the country.
