Once considered sidelined due to injuries and the rise of youngsters like Matheesha Pathirana, Dilshan Madushanka, and Asitha Fernando, Chameera roared back in Zimbabwe, claiming eight wickets in just three matches.
Seen by many as Sri Lanka’s best fast bowler since Lasith Malinga, Chameera brings experience and match-winning quality. Even IPL franchises trusted his ability when national selectors overlooked him. Fit and firing again, his role will be critical if Sri Lanka are to challenge Asia’s best in the upcoming tournament.
