Lasantha Priyankara, Security Architect, delivered a keynote on “Securing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)”—sharing actionable strategies to integrate security from the earliest stages of development, reducing vulnerabilities and ensuring robust software applications.
Shanthi Rajesh, Director – Cybersecurity at Sysco LABS and Sysco’s BISO for APAC, contributed to a high-level panel discussion titled “Building a Strategic Cybersecurity Future for Sri Lanka.” The discussion focused on aligning national strategies with global standards and advancing long-term cybersecurity readiness.
Commenting on the importance of cyber awareness, Shanthi Rajesh stated:
“At Sysco LABS, we follow global frameworks to build a mature, secure landscape. But beyond technology, it’s important that cybersecurity becomes a shared objective across organizations—one that clearly articulates its value in protecting brand reputation and preventing financial loss. As professionals in this field, we also have a responsibility to educate and raise awareness across the nation. Cyber resilience starts with knowledge.”
By supporting the inaugural BSides Sri Lanka conference, Sysco LABS has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening Sri Lanka’s cybersecurity ecosystem and nurturing future-ready talent through active community engagement.
