Asia Rugby is set to make history with the Asia Rugby Emirates U20s Sevens 2025, scheduled to take place on 9–10 August in the ancient city of Rajgir, Bihar. This landmark tournament represents a major step forward for youth rugby in South Asia and highlights the sport’s growing popularity in the region.

Building on the momentum of the successful Rugby Premier League (RPL), Rugby India will once again take center stage as the host of an international rugby event, this time turning the spotlight on the continent’s most promising young talent.

The tournament will feature 16 national youth teams — 8 men’s and 8 women’s — competing in a dynamic two-day round-robin format. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the Cup semi-finals, while the remaining teams will vie for the Plate, ensuring fierce competition and nonstop action throughout.

“We are thrilled to bring this key age-grade event to the City of Kings,” said Asia Rugby President Qais Al Dhalai. “Hosting the U20s Sevens in Bihar is not only a celebration of youth rugby but a reflection of the sport’s inclusivity and expansion across Asia.”

He extended gratitude to Rugby India, the Government of Bihar, and key partner Emirates Airlines for their unwavering support in bringing this vision to life.
