Tim David delivered a record-breaking performance as Australia stormed to a third consecutive T20I victory against the West Indies in St Kitts, clinching the series with a resounding six-wicket win.
David smashed 11 sixes in his 100 off just 37 balls, registering Australia’s fastest T20 international century, surpassing Josh Inglis’ 43-ball effort. His powerful innings turned the game after Australia lost early wickets, adding 128 runs with Mitch Owen (36* off 16) to chase down 215 with 23 balls remaining.
Earlier, Windies skipper Shai Hope scored his maiden T20I century (102* off 57) — becoming only the second West Indian after Chris Gayle to notch centuries in all three formats of international cricket.
Despite Hope and Brandon King’s fiery opening stand of 125, West Indies couldn’t contain the Aussie onslaught, especially under the small boundaries of Warner Park.
David also clocked the fastest T20I half-century for Australia, reaching 50 in just 16 balls.
Australia now leads the five-match series 3–0 and eyes a clean sweep, having won eight of their last nine encounters against the Windies.
