In a bold new move to promote health and wellness, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has launched the Dubai Mallathon — a fitness initiative that transforms seven major malls into indoor walking and running tracks throughout August 2025.
The initiative, part of the broader Dubai Social Agenda 33, runs daily from 7 AM to 10 AM, giving residents the chance to stay active while avoiding the harsh summer heat.
🔹 Where You Can Walk
Participants can enjoy dedicated fitness paths at:
🛍️ Dubai Mall
🛍️ Mall of the Emirates
🛍️ City Centre Deira
🛍️ City Centre Mirdif
🛍️ Dubai Hills Mall
🛍️ Dubai Marina Mall
🛍️ The Springs Souk
This initiative is free of charge and open to all age groups, including seniors, children, and even mall employees. Registration is available at www.dubaimallathon.ae, where participants will receive a digital confirmation card.
🔹 More Than Just Walking
The Dubai Mallathon isn’t just about physical movement—it’s a full community wellness experience. The malls will include:
🩺 Health awareness stations
👟 Fitness tracking systems
🧘 Guided stretching sessions
🎈 Children’s activity zones
🍽️ Healthy food offers from partnered outlets
Sheikh Hamdan said, “This simple idea has a powerful goal: to encourage active living in everyday spaces. Every step taken brings us closer to a healthier Dubai.” He also emphasized that creating accessible fitness spaces is part of Dubai’s commitment to being the world’s best place to live, work, and visit.
🔹 A Summer Fitness Solution
With temperatures soaring during the summer months, this indoor fitness concept provides a safe, air-conditioned, and easily accessible option to keep residents moving year-round.
Dubai Mallathon follows the footsteps of other popular fitness drives led by Sheikh Hamdan, such as the Dubai Fitness Challenge and the Dubai Run, which have seen city-wide participation in recent years.
