UK Opens India Young Professionals Scheme Ballot—Apply Now Before July 24 Deadline

The UK government has officially opened the ballot for the India Young Professionals Scheme, offering a unique opportunity for Indian citizens aged 18 to 30 to live, work, or study in the UK for up to 2 years.

The free ballot opened today at 1:30 PM IST and will close on July 24, 2025, at 1:30 PM IST, according to GOV.UK. The scheme is part of a reciprocal agreement between India and the UK, designed to strengthen bilateral ties and provide global exposure to young professionals.

✨ Key Highlights:

Only 3,000 spots are available for 2025 (most were already offered in the February ballot).

This is the second and final chance for this year.

Applicants must be Indian citizens aged 18–30 with a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Selection is done via ballot, not first-come-first-served.

💰 Requirements:

Proof of £2,530 (approx. ₹2.94 lakh) in savings.

Visa fee: £319 (approx. ₹37,187).

Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS): £1,552 (approx. ₹1.80 lakh).

You’ll need to provide fingerprints, a photo, and passport details.

Once selected, you’ll receive an invitation email and must apply for the visa within 90 days of receiving it.

📚 What You Can Do in the UK Under This Visa:

You have no employees

🚫 What You Cannot Do:

Despite turning 31 after visa approval, your stay is still valid for the full visa duration.
