In a night dedicated to celebrating the power, purpose, and passion of Sri Lanka’s youth, Anudi Gunasekara was awarded the coveted title of Inspirational Youth of the Year at the 6th Youth Top40 Awards 2025, proudly presented by New Generation Sri Lanka and ignited by Soorya.
The annual Youth Top40 Awards recognizes exceptional young Sri Lankans who have made significant contributions in their respective fields – from entrepreneurship and innovation to creativity, activism, and leadership. This year’s event shone a spotlight on the unstoppable spirit of the nation’s next generation of changemakers.
Anudi, who also represented and won from the North Central Province, took to social media to reflect on the honor and her personal journey.
“I spent so much time looking for inspiration in the world around me, through people, experiences, and moments that moved me. But somewhere along the way, I realized that the strength, purpose, and drive I was searching for had been within me all along,” she shared.
She added that sometimes, the most powerful inspiration begins not with outward exploration, but through recognizing one’s own path.
“Beyond the honor of being named Inspirational Youth of the Year, I’m proud to have represented and also won from the North Central Province. Thank you for the opportunity, and congratulations to all the winners. Here’s to new beginnings!”
