The ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, which took effect on May 12, will remain in place without a set expiry date, according to an official statement from the Indian Army.
Clarifying recent speculations, the official emphasized that the cessation of hostilities agreed upon during the interaction between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) is not bound by a timeline.
“There is no expiry date for the ceasefire,” the official stated, reaffirming the commitment to maintain peace along the Line of Control (LoC). Additionally, no further talks between the DGMOs of the two nations were scheduled for Sunday.
The reaffirmation signals a continued push toward de-escalation and stability in the region.
