A beautiful new rose has been named in honour of Catherine, Princess of Wales, to spotlight the healing benefits of nature. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) introduced Catherine’s Rose—a floribunda rose with soft coral-pink petals and a unique fragrance combining Turkish Delight and mango.
More than just a floral tribute, the rose aims to raise awareness of how outdoor spaces and gardening can support mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. Proceeds from the sale of the rose will benefit the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, where Princess Catherine received treatment during her cancer journey.

The Princess, who revealed her diagnosis in early 2024 and later shared she was in remission, has been a strong advocate for hope and healing. Her visit to the hospital in January served as an uplifting moment for patients, where she reminded them that “there is light at the end of the tunnel.”
According to the RHS, Catherine’s Rose is not only visually stunning but also great for pollinators and adaptable for various garden settings, including borders, containers, and hedges. The rose blooms in clusters of up to 15 flowers and can reach 1.2m in height.
RHS Director General Clare Matterson said the rose is a symbol of how deeply nature contributes to wellbeing and recovery, stating: “Accessing nature is vital for our health and happiness.”
An initial 15,000 plants will be available for sale this autumn, with more to follow in 2026.
