Hanoi, Vietnam – During his official visit to Vietnam, Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has extended an open invitation to Vietnam’s largest private enterprise, Vingroup, to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka’s booming real estate and tourism sectors.
President Dissanayake met with Vingroup’s Vice Chairman and CEO, Nguyen Viet Quang, and his delegation at the company’s headquarters in Hanoi on May 4. He praised Vingroup for its rapid expansion and global success across various sectors, noting that Sri Lanka is committed to creating a welcoming environment for foreign investors.
Highlighting Sri Lanka’s strategic location, improving infrastructure, and pro-investment policies, the President encouraged the group to consider the island nation as a hub for future expansion, particularly in high-growth sectors such as hospitality, property development, and tourism services.
