Deadly Storm System Sweeps Across U.S., Causing Fatalities and Widespread Damage

A powerful and widespread storm outbreak stretched from Texas to the Northeast U.S. on April 29, bringing destructive weather and tragic consequences.

In Pennsylvania, two people lost their lives due to electrocution from storm-related incidents, highlighting the dangerous impact of the system.

According to preliminary reports, at least three tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma and Missouri, particularly affecting areas around Tulsa, where trees were uprooted and outbuildings destroyed.

In Texas, hailstones up to 5 inches wide were recorded — large enough to cause severe property damage.

Strong winds associated with the storm system also caused tree falls and structural damage across multiple states including Oklahoma, Kansas, Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, and New York.

Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage as recovery efforts begin in several impacted areas.
