The “Clean Sri Lanka” campaign continued its strong momentum today (26) in Kandy, marking its ninth consecutive day of promoting proper waste management during the Siri Dalada Vandanawa festivities.
Focusing on the main access roads leading to the Dalada Vandanawa and nearby areas, the initiative brought together officials from the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat and dedicated volunteer groups of both youth and adults.
The program aimed to encourage a positive shift in public attitudes toward responsible waste disposal and was met with enthusiastic support from the community.
In recent days, similar clean-up activities have been carried out around the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa premises, ensuring that the sacred surroundings of the Siri Dalada Vandanawa remain clean and welcoming for all devotees and visitors.
