In an exciting development for cricket fans, former Sri Lankan Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne has officially signed with Keilor Cricket Club for the 2025/26 season under MCA Sports Australia.
Dimuth brings an incredible wealth of experience to the club, having played 100 Test matches for Sri Lanka, amassing 7,222 runs at an average of 39.25, including 16 Test centuries and 39 Test half-centuries.
The celebrated opener has been recognized internationally, earning a spot in the ICC Test Team of the Year on three occasions, cementing his reputation as one of the game’s finest.
In addition to his Test achievements, Karunaratne has featured in 50 One Day Internationals (ODIs), scoring 1,316 runs with one century and 11 half-centuries.
His domestic record is equally impressive, boasting 15,871 First-Class runs at an average of 44.83 with 47 centuries and 73 fifties, along with 6,676 List A runs that include 7 centuries and 34 half-centuries.
