Ridiyagama Safari park requests public to name newborn lion cubs

The Ridiyagama Safari Park in Hambantota has provided an opportunity for the public to name six newborn lion cubs.

According to the Park’s management, lions Dora and Lara had birthed three lion cubs each last month. 

Lioness Dora had birthed 3 female cubs, while lioness Lara had given birth to two female cubs and a male cub. 

The lion cubs, which are nearly three months old, are being prepared to be placed for public viewing in February. 

As such, the Ridiyagama Safari Park’s management has announced the public will be allowed to name the lion cubs.
