Sachitha Kalingamudali, a trailblazer in the digital content landscape, is poised to launch Sri Lanka’s pioneering international feature film through a fully-fledged animation studio by 2025. This ambitious project integrates state-of-the-art motion capture technology and leverages the Unreal Engine for unparalleled real-time rendering, marking a significant milestone for the country’s animation industry.

As the Editor-in-Chief at Pulse, Sri Lanka’s leading lifestyle platform, Sachitha has been a digital content visionary since 2015. Under his leadership, Pulse achieves an impressive reach of over 6 million posts weekly. His diverse experience in various media agency roles has shaped his steadfast belief: “If one can conceive it, they can achieve it.” This philosophy is evident in his commitment to bringing visions to life, resonating powerfully with audiences.

Sachitha’s background in Electronic Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, adds a technical edge to his media pursuits. Currently serving as the Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Digital Media at Derana, he oversees platforms tailored to youth interests, delivering engaging and dynamic social media content. His dedication to excellence and innovation continually pushes the boundaries of digital media and animation.

Beyond the animation studio, Sachitha is launching the Mogo Media Academy, a multimedia institute aimed at molding skilled professionals in animation and media. Set to open its doors this August, the academy will welcome its first intake, offering comprehensive training and development for aspiring animators and media specialists.
