The funeral of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and others who perished in a helicopter crash, will be held today at Tehran University. The capital city of Iran is preparing to host the solemn event, led by Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Following the ceremony at the university, the procession will proceed to Maidan-e-Azadi (Azadi Square).

Jaishankar visited the Iranian embassy in Delhi to convey his condolences.
