2024 Subaru Outback and Forester get new special editions

[ad_1]

The new additions are available in a limited number only, joining the models’ ranges at the lower end.

Subaru has introduced two limited-edition variants to its Outback and Forester SUVs for 2024, due to arrive in showrooms this month.

From mid-May, Subaru will introduce the Outback AWD Premium and Forester 2.5i Luxury AWD into the models’ respective line-ups, offering added features such as leather-accented seats.

The Outback Premium will slot into the range between the base AWD variant and the mid-spec Sport, while the Forester 2.5i Luxury will sit above the entry-level 2.5i.

The new Outback Premium, priced at $47,190 before on-road costs, can be had in all colours except Brilliant Bronze Metallic, and adds black Nappa leather-accented seat trim, heated front and rear outboard seats, satellite navigation, and a hands-free powered tailgate.

The Forester 2.5i Luxury AWD, priced at $39,690 before on-road costs, adds black leather-accented seat trim to the base variant, as well as upgraded dash panel accents, centre console trim and door panel trim. It is available in Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Horizon Blue Pearl and Magnetic Grey Metallic external paint colours.

The Outback Premium is powered by the 2.5-litre non-turbo petrol four-cylinder with 138kW/245Nm found in most versions, with the more powerful 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine reserved for the higher grades.

Standard equipment includes LED headlights, roof rails, 18-inch alloy wheels with a full-size spare, 213mm of ground clearance, scratch-resistant mudguards and privacy glass.

There is also keyless entry and start, an eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, leather-trimmed steering wheel, dual-zone climate control and an 11.6-inch touchscreen – which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity – with a rear-view camera.

No changes have been made under the bonnet of the Forester 2.5i Luxury, retaining the 136kW/239Nm 2.5-litre non-turbo four-cylinder engine, connected to a continuously-variable automatic transmission (CVT) and all-wheel drive.

Standard features include an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen with reversing camera, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and DAB+ digital radio, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and start, and electric folding rear seats.

Both new additions are expected to arrive in limited numbers only, with customers urged to contact their local dealer directly to place an order.
