Securing the 18th rank in the UPSC exam 2023, Khan’s achievement underscores her commitment to serving the nation. Expressing her joy, she shared, “Getting into the top 20 was unimaginable. It’s a dreamy feeling right now.” Opting for the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) as her first choice, Khan aims to elevate India’s image on global platforms and contribute to the welfare of the Indian diaspora abroad.
Having completed her Bachelor’s in Commerce from Delhi University, Khan’s journey reflects a deep-rooted interest in geopolitics, nurtured during her college days through participation in debates and MUNs. Despite a brief stint in the corporate world, Khan realized her true calling lay in public service, prompting her to embark on the rigorous path of UPSC preparation.
Offering advice to aspirants, Khan emphasizes the importance of mastering basics like NCERT and Polity by Laxmikant. Preparation, she suggests, should include meticulous planning of syllabus and thorough notes for both mains and optional subjects. Khan’s success adds to the ranks of 1,016 candidates recommended for appointment to various services by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Aditya Srivastava clinched the top spot in the civil services examination 2023, with notable performances by Animesh Pradhan, Donuru Ananya Reddy, P K Sidharth Ramkumar, and Ruhani securing top ranks as well.
