Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 20th, as the Gee Lee-Wik Doleen Gallery at Hume Global Learning Centre – Craigieburn comes alive with the enchanting sounds of Punjab.

From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM AEST, attendees will have the opportunity to witness the fusion of art and music, as Gursewak Singh and his fellow musicians weave together a tapestry of emotions, inspired by the landscapes, faces, and colors of Punjab. This special performance, presented in conjunction with the ongoing “Portraits of Punjab” exhibition, promises to be a celebration of Punjabi identity and cultural heritage.

Drawing on his personal connection to the region, Gursewak Singh’s paintings and soundscapes offer a glimpse into the diverse facets of Punjabi life. Through the harmonious blend of Indian classical instruments such as the dilruba, rebab, and tabla, the audience will be transported on a sensory journey, experiencing the essence of Punjab in every note.
