Wednesday Sessions Week 5 Presents: Desi Sessions Extravaganza

Join us for a vibrant celebration of Desi culture at Monash Clayton this Wednesday, 27th March 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM AEDT. As part of our ongoing Wednesday Sessions, we’re thrilled to present a special Desi Week in collaboration with the Monash Indian Cultural Society (MICS) and the Pakistani Association of Monash (PAM).

Expect an evening filled with live music, pulsating rhythms, and delectable food as we come together to celebrate the rich tapestry of Desi music and traditions. Our featured musician for the evening is the talented singer-songwriter SAGAR TIWARI. You can get a sneak peek of his soulful melodies on his Instagram profile: @sagartiwarimusic.

The event will take place at the Lemon-Scented Lawns at Monash Clayton. While the music promises to be lively, we’ve made provisions for those who prefer a quieter space. Our dedicated team of First Aiders, Mental Health First Aiders, and personnel trained in the Sunflower Scheme will be onsite to ensure everyone’s safety and well-being.

For those aged 18 and above, alcohol will be available. However, please remember to bring a valid photo ID, as we strictly adhere to responsible service guidelines. Any underage drinking will be reported to Monash University in accordance with our policies.

As we gather to celebrate, let’s also take a moment to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nations. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present, and recognize their enduring connection to this land.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music, culture, and community spirit. See you there!
