More than 12 people taken to hospital after Camspie double bus crash

A double bus crash that left multiple people injured in Sydney’s south west is being investigated by police.

Emergency services were called to Seventh Ave, Campsie at about 4.20pm on Wednesday, following reports of two buses crashing into one another.

It is understood both buses were heading westbound one bus rear-ended another, leading to a collision with three parked cars.

More than 25 people were treated by paramedics, including the 53-year-old driver of one of the buses who sustained serious injuries who was taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.

The other bus driver, a 63-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Concord hospital in a stable condition.

Paramedics assessed and treated 25 passengers at the scene with 12 passengers taken to Concord, Bankstown and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

As police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, anyone who may have dashcam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
