Reformation Is Making Swimwear Sustainable With New Eco Collection

[ad_1]

swimwear launch is exciting because it usually signals that summer is right around the corner, but Reformation is taking it one step further with the launch of its new sustainable swimwear line.

As a brand, Reformation is already a fan (and celeb) fave, but the brand keeps pulling out more reasons to back it with its new swimwear incursion. While the brand originally launched swimwear in 2019 made of regenerated nylon, ECONYL, it was only a small drop. Enter today’s new Reformation swim collection, which is made of parts ECONYL leftovers and a new, non-synthetic fabric derived from 100% renewable plants called EVO by Fulgar. (Spoiler alert: not only is the biobased polyamide fabric renewable, but it is also super soft.)

“Our new swimwear is engineered for wearing almost nothing and having almost no footprint. Made with renewable, plant-based materials or nylon regenerated from waste by our partners at Fulgar® and ECONYL®. Half naked never felt so good,” the Reformation website reads. Prices range from $68-$168, and styles are available in sizes XS-XL.

Fabrics aside, Reformation’s swim silhouettes are suitable for different body types and are vintage-inspired — think classic solids and signature prints the brand is known and loved for. There is something for everyone, from one-piece cutouts to floral two-pieces and even polka-dot bikinis. The idea behind the collection is to be able to hit the beach and then transition to nighttime summertime chic, so, fittingly, most of the bathing suits can be worn under Reformation’s favorite beach dresses and ‘fits.

To celebrate the new swimwear drop, Tina Kunakey stars in the collection’s campaign. You can now shop Reformation swimwear from March 18, 2024, online, in select stores, and on Shopbop. Check out some f our favorite styles below:
