“Suzuki Motor Corporation Japan has initiated a safety recall concerning the fuel system of the Japanese Suzuki WagonR model range. As the exclusive distributor of Suzuki vehicles in Sri Lanka, Associated Motorways (Private) Limited (AMW) is actively taking measures to ensure the safety and satisfaction of Suzuki WagonR owners.
The safety recall aims to address fuel impurity blockages within the fuel system, particularly focusing on correcting inaccurate fuel readings displayed in the Instrument Cluster Panel. Left unattended, this issue could potentially lead to engine stalling due to inadequate warning signals for low fuel levels. Affected models encompass the Suzuki WagonR Premium, Suzuki WagonR FX/FZ, Suzuki Spacia, and the Suzuki Stingray.
Approximately 32,500 Suzuki WagonR vehicles in Sri Lanka are affected by this safety recall, with around 3,800 vehicles already recalled and serviced. Owners of the impacted vehicles are urged to visit https://suzuki.lk/wagonrrecall/index.html via computers or mobile phones to verify if their vehicle is part of the recall. This website offers comprehensive details on the recall process and provides instructions for owners to proceed.
