The Block 2024: Meet the contestants for The Block Phillip Island

[ad_1]

The Block is back for 2024, and for its 20th season the hit TV show is embracing island life by heading to Phillip Island on Victoria’s Bass Coast.

While the show isn’t expected to air until mid-August, after the Olympics have finished, filming has already started and the contestants have been spotted out and about on Phillip Island.

The drama has been high the last few seasons, so let’s meet the cast of The Block 2024 as realestate.com.au is able to reveal three of the five couples on this year’s season. Potential spoilers ahead, so read on with care.

Jesse and Paige – Perth, Blue Team

Jesse and Paige had tongues wagging early after Paige started for looking for trades on local Phillip Island Facebook groups.

Paige has a Bachelor of Arts and Commerce degree, focusing on marketing and public relations, which could help her navigate the drama-fuelled relationships on The Block.

Jesse, 30, is a rugby fan.

These two could quickly become fan favourites, with Paige spotted taking selfies with fans while visiting local business Crystal Infusion in nearby Kilcunda.

Red Team

This year’s red team will feature another young couple.

So far we don’t know much about this pair except that they are a male-female team. The female contestant has long brown hair while her male partner is lacking in the hair department and has a bit of a beard.

Yellow Team

The boys in yellow are gearing up to be the pranksters of the season. While filming a promo for the hit TV show, the pair were seen wearing fish shoes instead of work boots like the rest of the cast.

Though the unique footwear is probably not up to health and safety standards, we’re sure these two will bring plenty of laughs this season.

The yellow team was also caught loading a kayak onto the roof of a car – hopefully these two won’t be too distracted by Phillip Island’s famous surf beaches and manage to complete their house on time.

Kylie and Brad – Green Team

With bright green hair it’s only fitting that Kylie and partner Brad were assigned the green team for this season.

Kylie has becoming a favourite among Phillip Island locals, stopping to take plenty of selfies with fans and popping into local stores to buy homewares rather than heading to big name stores on the mainland.

Kylie and Brad a rumoured to be our Queensland couple for this season.

Kristian and Mimi – Adelaide, Purple Team

Newlyweds, Kristian and Mimi Belperio are no strangers to the spotlight. The pair got married in a Disney themed wedding in Adelaide in 2023, which went viral thanks to a Lizzy McGuire bridesmaids entrance, and a Tiktok trends list that most brands would be jealous of.

Our biggest hint that this couple was going to be on The Block was that just three months after the extravagant nuptials, the couple’s socials were changed to private. This followed online rumours that contestants had been told to delete followers ahead of filming to avoid being identified.

But how will they fare on The Block?

Well, Kristian, 31, is an electrician so we’ll get to see him on the tools, hopefully saving the team some money.

And judging by the wedding Mimi has quite an eye for design. She’s also involved with the recently opened Adelaide restaurant, Ba Khang, which has had quite the renovation since it was leased in June 2023.
