Australia Post Christmas delivery deadline begins today

[ad_1]

Aussies will need to get in quick if they want their parcels delivered in time for Christmas.

Australia Post has strict deadlines for when parcels and cards need to be sent so they can make it in time for the holidays.

Monday is the final day to send packages via normal parcel post domestically for most of the country.

For express post the cut off day is Thursday.

“If you want to get something in, get it in by Thursday, 21 December. We will continue to deliver right up to the 24th,” Australia Post executive general manager Gary Starr said.

“But we really remind everyone of those dates, because we can’t guarantee the parcels will arrive by Christmas if they’re not in by (today) for parcel post or Thursday for express post.”

When is the cut off date for domestic mail?

If you want an item or card to arrive before Christmas you need to get your parcels sent off by December 18.

Those living in Western Australia and the Northern Territory have already missed the cut off date for normal domestic delivery.

However, they can still send items via express post that will make it by Christmas as long as they get them in by Wednesday.

The deadline for express post for everywhere else in the country is Thursday.

When is the cut off date for international mail?

The deadline has already passed for international mail unfortunately.
