Qantas, Virgin, Jetstar drop huge flight sales

[ad_1]

Three major Aussie airlines are having a huge Black Friday sale.

Qantas, Virgin Airlines and Jetstar have each revealed what bargains passengers can expect over the next few days, ahead of the biggest sales event of the year.

Qantas

Qantas announced discounts on almost all domestic flights with 750,000 fares slashed.

From Wednesday, domestic economy fares will be up for grabs with one-way prices starting from as low as $109 across the country.

Those keen to head to Launceston from Melbourne, can do so at just $109. Also on offer are $129 one-way trips between the Gold Coast and Sydney, $199 flights between Hamilton Island and Sydney and $279 from Melbourne to Perth.

The fares include checked baggage, complimentary food and beverages, free Wi-Fi and seat selection.

Customers still holding a Qantas Covid credit can use their credit on these sale fares and get double Qantas Points, by registering online with an eligible QF fight number by 31 December, 2023.

The mega-sale will finish up just before midnight on Friday, November 24.

Virgin

Virgin Australia will have half-a-million Black Friday sales fares, starting from $49.

The sale is on now until midnight AEST Tuesday, November 24 – or unless sold out prior.

The cheapest route is Sydney to Ballina from $49, one-way on Economy Lite. Other cheap fares include Melbourne to Launceston from $59. Sydney to the Sunshine Coast from $69 and Melbourne to the Hamilton Island from $139.

Those keen to explore outside of Australia can get to Queenstown from Sydney, starting at $435 return. If Bali has been on your list then you can head there from the Gold Coast from $449 return.

There’s also Brisbane to Samoa from $609 return and Cairns to Tokyo from $79 return. The airline is offering 4 per cent cashback on domestic flights and 1.5 per cent on short-haul international flights.

The sale fares are for travel between January 10, 2024 and June 20, 2024.

Jetstar

Jetstar will have a ‘return for free’ sale with more than 140,000 fares available across over 85 different routes.

In what’s one of the airlines biggest sales of the year, customers who purchase an outbound starter fare will receive the return fare free with a list of selected travel dates available.

But it’s for five days only, so get in quick.

Members of Club Jetstar will get first dibs. They have eight hours of exclusive early access from now until 5pm. From that time, public access will start, with the sale ending at 11.59pm AEDT on Monday, November 27, or unless sold out prior.

Some of the deals include Sydney to Ballina Byron from $71, Brisbane to Sydney from $123 and Sydney to Cairns from $201.

Those keen to get out of Australia will also benefit from the sale with fares from Gold Coast to Wellington starting from $243, Perth to Bali (Denpasar) from $275 and Sydney to Honolulu from $449.

Travel dates vary per route but include early August to late October 2024 for domestic travel, and mid-July to late October for international routes.

“We’re famous for our Return for Free sales and this one is particularly special. It’s our biggest Return for Free of the year, and our longest ever, running over five huge days,”

Jetstar’s executive manager, Customer, Jenn Armor, said.
