Last day to send Christmas presents: FedEx shares deadline for sending presents to Australia and overseas

Australians wanting to make sure they get their Christmas presents delivered in time for the holiday season have less than a month to finish shopping, get them wrapped and posted.

Delivery giant FedEx has revealed their final days to send packages to ensure they arrive in time for Christmas.

For those sending presents in Australia, the deadline for sending shipments by Road Express is December 18.

However, residents of Western Australia and the Northern Territory will have to get their shopping a little bit earlier, with December 15 the last day for shipping.

For customers willing to pay a little extra for the priority service, including the overnight express service, the deadline is December 20.

The final deadline to collect shipments from a local FedEx facility is December 22.

Sending shipments to New Zealand

For shipments to New Zealand, the deadline for economy services including International Economy and International Economy Freight is December 18.

While Priority services including International First, International Priority Express, International Priority, International Connect Plus and International Priority Freight can send until December 20.

Sending international shipments

For international shipping, the deadline for sending shipments through Economy services including International Economy and International Economy Freight is December 13.

While Priority customers have until December 15 to send presents using the International First, International Priority Express, International Priority, International Connect Plus and International Priority Freight services.

Australia Post deadline to send

Australia Post recommends those wishing to get presents to their destination in time for Christmas should make sure they are sent by December 18 for most destinations within Australia,

If they are using the Express Post service, they should be sent by December 21 guarantee they arrive on time.

People sending to or from Western Australia and Northern Territory are recommended to allow for a few extra days to make it in time for Christmas morning.
