Ford’s Transit Custom van has been recalled after it was discovered the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) could malfunction following an incomplete software update.
Ford Australia has recalled 327 examples of its 2023 Ford Transit Custom, due to a failed software update which could cause the van’s advanced driver safety technology to malfunction.
The recall notice, lodged with the Department of Infrastructure, says: “Due to incomplete software update, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) may not operate as intended.
“As a result, sensors and cameras yellow warning light will not illuminate in the instrument cluster to assist the driver to detect nearby obstacles or driver errors.
